The Beginning.

"Tour International Danubien - TID" is the annual boat tour along river Danube, passing almost all of the riverside countries - Germany, Austria, Slovak, Hungary, Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. Here you can find information about the Bulgarian part of the tour.
Bulgaria join the tour in 1964 when the Bulgarian representative (Georgi Ljubenov – Galata) took part in TID conference. Next year TID entered Bulgaria! To Vidin! The stops were only two. And participants from Bulgaria were 4. Georgi Ljubenov-Galata, Dimitar Stojanov, Mihail Najdenov-Mimi and Stefan Stefanov. They took part from Belgrade to Vidin, and most of the time they overtook the tour because their passports were issued later. In 1966 TID’s last stop was in Rousse, and this was the first pure Bulgarian lap! In 1969 TID continued to Silistra and ever since it is the end of the journey. Formally! But if you wish, you can go to the Black Sea.
